Elizaveta Dorin is one of the few craftswomen in southern Moldova still working traditional Bulgarian-Moldovan embroidery alongside straw and reed weaving. In her workshop (the front room of her house in Colibași), you see cotton thread being selected, patterns transferred to canvas, and either the Bulgarian chevron stamp or the Moldovan floral motif being embroidered. She sells finished pieces and accepts commissions (1-3 weeks for an embroidered shirt). Beginner workshop: 2 hours, max 4 people.
