An authentic peasant house in Văleni with a painted porch and meals cooked on the hearth — a quiet immersion in Moldovan village life. Good if you want two nights of real countryside rather than hotel comfort.
La Bunica Clava is the rural house closest to the feeling of staying at grandma's — an original Văleni village building with white-washed walls, a porch painted white with decorated columns, a rust-patinated tin roof, and a blue plank fence with carved diamond patterns — classic 1970s–80s Moldovan-village aesthetic. Bare-earth yard with plum and walnut trees, breakfast porch and a smaller thatched-roof shed in the back. There are 2–3 rooms, small, with simple beds covered in crocheted quilts, original old furniture, a tile stove. Food cooked by the host — placinte, sarmale, sheep cheese. Authentic place, without modern polish — the best choice for those who want to live the original Moldovan-village feeling.
