Casa Dulce Colibași
Traditional cooking workshop in Colibași village, Cahul district
Învârtită pie workshop + zeamă + sarmale + shared lunch
Good for groups and families wanting an immersion in Moldovan cooking: you make twisted plăcinte, zeamă soup and sarmale, then eat together, in the village of Colibași.
Casa Dulce Colibași is the gastronomic workshop of the Slabu family in Colibași village (12 km from Cahul) — an active tourism concept since 2014 offering hands-on Moldovan cuisine courses for Romanian, Eastern European and Western tourists. Typical programme (4-5 hours): welcome with pălincă and welcome pies, învârtită pie workshop (hosts teach the proper gesture with the 1 m sheet), preparing a traditional zeamă together, vine-leaf sarmale, mămăligă over live fire, ending with a shared lunch at the long courtyard table (with barrel house wine). All ingredients come from the homestead or neighbours. Group demonstrations on parallel stations. Combine with a visit to KaraGani or Manuc Bey wineries.
