The view from under the Cruzești bridge is one of the most accessible nature escapes from Chișinău — 15 minutes east by car and you're on the Dniester bank, under the massive structure of the asphalt bridge. The water is calm here, with reflections of clouds and the concrete pillars. Willows and poplars grow on the banks, and the only noise is the occasional car on the bridge. Locals come to fish, picnic on the grass or just sit on a log and watch the water. There are no facilities — bring your own water, food and a mat if you want to stay. Most beautiful at sunset, when the bridge becomes a silhouette against a red-and-purple sky.
