The story

Valley of the Mills Park (Valea Morilor) is the largest and most beloved public park in Chișinău — 124 hectares of oak forest, paved alleys and a 35-hectare artificial lake in the Centru district. Opened in 1950 on the site of two natural Bîc river valleys, it offers: lake with public beach (swimming in summer, ice-skating in winter), Green Summer Theatre (concerts and festivals), Romeo and Juliet Alley (cherry trees blooming in spring), restaurant on floating pontoons, pedalo and boat rental, open-air evening music stage, 4 km running track around the lake. Plus playground, roller-skate track, basketball court, Sunday morning outdoor yoga.
