La Faleza is the flagship restaurant of Soroca — located on the Dniester promenade (Hașdeu street), with a wide terrace open to the river and the Ukrainian shore on the other side. Extensive traditional Moldovan cuisine: noodle zeamă, mămăligă with sheep cheese and cracklings, sarmale in vine and cabbage leaves, oven pork with garlic sauce, cauldron lamb, hearth-baked pies. Plus fresh Dniester fish menu (catfish, zander, perch, carp). Wine list focused on northern producers (Lobov, Glodeni) plus Cricova. Soroca favourite for anniversaries, weddings and romantic sunsets over the Dniester. 5 min walk from Soroca Fortress.

“I don’t usually leave a review after one visit, but it is deserved here. The food is outstanding and, considering the quality of the ingredients and preparation, reasonably priced. Service was excellent. My waitress spoke English well but, even aside from that, the level of service was the best I’ve received in Moldova.
