Wines of Comrat
Gagauzia's emblematic winery — wines since 1897, in Comrat on Vinzavodscaia.
Industrial winery tour + sweet wine specialty + Gagauz food pairing
Worth it if you're touring Gagauzia — one of the region's oldest wineries (since 1897), in Comrat, with tastings from its own series (98 Hectares, Plai, Folclor) and an on-site hotel.
Wines of Comrat is one of Gagauzia's oldest wineries, established in 1897 in the Bessarabian-province era and running for over 120 years. In Comrat (Vinzavodscaia 1, ~140 km south of Chișinău) it keeps classic winemaking methods. Main series: 98 Hectares (Sauvignon Blanc, Fetească Neagră), Plai (blends — Cabernet–Fetească Neagră, Merlot–Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Saperavi–Bastardo) and Folclor (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot–Malbec). It offers tours and tastings, a factory shop (9:00–19:00) and a Wine Garden Hotel for overnight stays. A natural anchor for a Gagauzia tour.
